NDIS
The NDIS (National Disability Issuance Scheme) is set up to provide assistance to persons that meet the following 5 basic criteria.
  • Are aged between 7 and 65.
  • Live in Australia and have Australian residency.
  • Usually need support from a person because of a permanent and significant disability.
  • Use special equipment because of a permanent and significant disability.
  • Need some supports now to reduce your future needs.
If you meet the criteria and you would like to become a participant, call 1800 800 110 and ask to make an Access Request.

You can get an Access Request form from your Local Area Coordinator, Early Childhood Early Intervention partner (if your child is under 7), your local NDIA office or you can call 1800 800 110.

An information booklet detailing the process is available at
www.ndis.gov.au/participants
If you are already registered as a participant, you can contact your Occupational Therapist professional, and he or she will make arrangements for a trial of any equipment necessary.

You can also make direct contact with the supplier, Bedz2U in this case, and arrange a trial/demonstration however, you will still need your Occupational Therapist present to make the final recommendation.

If you are already registered as an NDIS participant, but do not have an attending Occupational Therapist, Bedz2U can put you in contact with one that supports your locality to get your application for equipment selection started.

Bedz2U is more than happy to offer advice and assistance to you regarding getting the right equipment to suit your needs. Just call 1800 233 928 and we will be happy to assist you.
